My style is natural and relaxed,
which means that my clients will feel comfortable and at ease during the session. I give little hints, clues and try to lead into natural portraits.
I use natural light wherever possible, as it allows me to work without schlepping a lot of gear while capturing some really stunning photographs. With newborns, I love to incorporate simple props such as cashmere and silk blankets. It allows us to not only add personality but to add interest and depth to the pictures without the cheesiness of regular newborn photography.
London, Hampstead
As an in-home newborn photographer in London, I travel all over the city to meet clients in their homes. This is baby Sofia and she lives with her brother and parents in Hampstead Heath. The house was newly renovated, light-flooded and had a fantastic window seat in one of the bedrooms. It was the perfect location for our session. We used the double bed, window seat and her little nursery. The nursery was pink with handpainted wallpaper from an artist in London. Stunning!!
Sofia's mum dressed in a vintage dress and we used cashmere wraps for Sofia.
It was a sunny day with lots of light and sun that we could use for the backlit shots at the window.
