The best apple picking farm close to London
We love an excellent apple-picking date in early autumn as a family activity. We always pick as much as we can manage, and what I mean is as long as the kids actually enjoy it and make lots of yummy things at home. This year, we made a delicious german apple cake, played Joe the Juice and lots of german apple sauce for pancakes throughout the year.
If you don't want to take baskets full of fruit, take one and make some beautiful family memories.
Don't forget to take your husband, someone needs to 'schlepp' the little baskets at the end.

Castle Farm
Castle Farm is the firm favourite of our family. It's located in the beautiful area of Kent, just outside of London. This is a really big farm with a farm shop, lavender fields, horses and a beautiful apple orchard. The apples are red, glossy and super sweet. The other variety is a more sour apple, perfect for baking, we used the sweet one thought. After the hard work, we usually enjoy the little coffee van, some bottled juice or even a cold cider.
It's the perfect day out with little ones.
Don't forget a sunhat, warm coat, and a camera to document the new-made memories!
Note: No need to book in advance.

Tip: Start in the back of the Orchard, people are too lazy to walk back and start at the front.
