Family Vacation Photography in London
St. James Park is the perfect location for family photos. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, the incredible picturesque buildings make the perfect background for any portrait. Light, airy and with creamy reflections from the surrounding buildings. This is one of my favourite spots for vacation and travel photos in London.
For this beautiful family session, we met early in the morning at the spot where the famous Horse Guards Parade is happening. It was a freezing and rainy winter morning. However, some little rays from the beautiful early morning sun peeked through the clouds now and then giving us beautiful light for light and airy family photos in London.
The family was simply stunning and utterly photogenic, they were incredible easy-going and kind.
St James Park Bridge
Between Buckingham Palace and the Household Cavalry Museum is a little Bridge adoringly called The Blue Bridge, where you can see Big Ben and the London Eye. As a family, we love the small museum. It's great fun for the kids, who can dress up as Guardsmen and see the stables and horses. We always learn so much about the soldiers, including that they also have duty in active service, etc. The museum is pretty small, so you won't regret checking it out while you are in the area anyway. The Blue Bridge in St James Park is the perfect spot for some photos with the skyline of London in the background. It's great for bird and swan watching, and you will see the wild parakeets that love to sit on tourists' hands and eat their snacks.
