Time is indeed a thief. Especially for mothers who are in the midst of a newborn fog, and while blissful, it only lasts for a short while. We often forget the little details when we step out of the fog into routine and childhood. We forget how it truly was with a newborn. We forget how little their toes were, how we rocked them at the window or snuggled on our favourite chairs. Early motherhood is like a time freeze in our home, with stillness and the daily giving of love without any form of recognition. While our time feels as if it is standing still, the world around us keeps turning, buzzing and moving.
