Balham is a pretty green and family-friendly area in London that I visit often for newborn photo sessions. If you walk down the streets, mums and dads with prams, toddlers on scooters or nannies with a handful of children pass by. Balham has quirky little cafes, Ofsted-rated good and outstanding state schools, and a few public prep schools. Great Parks, lively playgrounds and shops like Trotters.

It’s so very special to see families grow, and this time, I had the pleasure of photographing not only the new parents but also the grandmother. It’s an honour to document the close relationships between parents, grandparents, and the little one.
