As your London newborn photographer, I always have to worry about the weather. Those gloomy, cloudy days always rob me of the beautiful natural light I love to use. This session is a good reminder that while light and sun can be beautiful, cloudy & dark days are no reason to reschedule our session. I already captured the Maternity pictures and couldn't wait to document the little addition. We met at their flat in Little Venice, Maida Vale for Yara's Newborn Portraits.
We moved close to the window and you can see the light in several of the photographs we created. I just love the moody black and whites in the macros that add to this session’s story. Baby Yara was already a couple of weeks old and still very petit and delicate. It was a lovely combination of awake and sleepy images we could capture. I love how much she was already engaging with her Mom and Dad. I can’t think of a better way to capture the early days.
Yara's beautiful Mummy choose one of the newest additions from my Client Closet. The swiss-dotted, flowy dress became quickly a favourite piece of my Clients. Yara's cute little outfit was from one of the many Notting Hill baby boutiques and the luxurious cashmere wrap was from my Client Wardrobe.
